Review: Personalised Ben & Holly Book from Penwizard

Like many other children her age, E is a massive Peppa Pig and Ben and Holly fan. Huge! She would watch it all day if she had the opportunity. She’ll often pass me the remote control and say “pig” for me to turn it on. So when I had the opportunity to review a personalised Ben and Holly book from Penwizard, I jumped at the chance.

The website and order process was really simple and easy to follow with confirmation emails being sent following purchase. The book makes the child a character in the book so you add the child’s name, personalise the character to represent them and add a personalised message which goes on the inside cover.

I was really impressed with the book and the speedy delivery. It’s a good quality soft paperback.  My only criticism (and this is minor) is that on one of the pages the child’s name is on added to the fridge on magnets – the last letter of E’s name was missing with a random character in its place.

E absolutely loves this book! She started to grin as soon as she saw it and as I it to her. She immediately sat down with it and started flicking through it.  For the first few days after she received it she picked it up first thing in the morning and brought it through to our bedroom to read. She points at the pages saying Ben (which she hadn’t said before) and Queen.

The book was £14.99 plus P&P. Whilst this is more than I would usually pay for a child’s book, the reaction from E means I would be happy to pay this for a birthday present.
Penwizard have several different books available for personalisation. Visit their website for further information.

Just to be clear: I was sent this book free of charge for the purpose of this review.  All words and opinions are my own.
