Review: Cherry Tree Farm

A new brand, Cherry Tree Farm, has launched at the Co-Op. The cooked meats range has been created for busy parents who want quick and easy meals, all of the range is 100% British meat, low fat, cooked and ready to eat.

When I was contacted about the brand with the chance to sample the range I jumped at the chance as E is a big carnivore and despite going through a fussy eating phase, meat is the one food she will nearly always eat!
We were sent:-
Hickory Smoked Turkey - smoky and sweet with an authentic hickory flavour
Roast Chicken Breast - 100% British chicken breast
Roast Chicken Chunks - 100% British chicken in bite sized chunks
Roast Turkey Breast - high in protein, low in fat and super tasty
Tikka Chicken Chunks - the nation's favourite curry flavour in bite sized chicken chunks
Wafer Thin American Fried Chicken - the taste of America!
Wafer Thin Turkey Ham - the turkey version of ham
Everything we were sent had a good best before date on it, the shortest being 2 weeks from the date we received it.

As E is such a meat lover she tends to have it most days, whether for lunch or dinner and the Cherry Tree Farm meats were no exception, she was happy to tuck in straight away.

We made lots of sandwiches, she had some with crackers and she had some on a homemade pizza (garlic bread base, hidden vegetable sauce, cheese and lots of meat).

D also enjoyed some of the roast turkey breast (he's a fan of turkey!) in sandwiches.

The flavours were all nice, the meat wasn't too moist or dry. Out of all of them, the hickory flavour was my favourite. I wasn't keen on the turkey ham, the flavour fine but some of the pieces had dark pink bits in it which looked gristly and felt quite hard.
Overall though, we enjoyed the meats and we would be likely to purchase if we saw them whilst shipping. E ate everything she tried so I would say that was a success!
