If you've read my post about my big day you'll see that it was all very casual and we didn't have a hen or stag do. After so long together it just seemed a bit daft. That doesn't mean I didn't think about what I would have done if I had done the whole hen thing as I've often thought about it, particularly when I see friends talking about theirs.
I'm not really a big drinker or one for going out on the town. It bores me, to be honest, I think I got that all out of my system when I was in my late teens. I would be out every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night from the early evening until the early hours (how I did it, I have no idea!).
So if I were to do it all again and to have a hen night, what would I do? I honestly couldn't narrow it down to one activity but some of the things that really appeal to me:
Perhaps if I were younger and without children my idea of a good hen do would be completely different. Regardless of what I would choose, Red7 are the world's leading hen and stag company and whether I went with a spa day or something more adventurous, they could help organise me with the perfect party. Over on their blog, some hens have shared their antics - I particularly love the life drawing class, I don't think I'd have been able to keep a straight face through out! If you're planning a hen or stag do, pop over to the site for lots of ideas and information.
Red7 were kind enough to send me a box of goodies to enjoy a nice evening in return for writing this post.
- A cottage by the seaside with long walks by the sea, followed by playing on the arcade machines, fish and chips and lots of wine.
- A spa day - something I've never done but the idea of being pampered always appeals!
- Wine tasting.
- A show in London followed by a nice meal and cocktails.
- Something crafty - learning a new skill, perhaps a pottery class.
- A cottage in Snowdonia, with lots of walking.
- Horseriding - I haven't done it for years and years but I still love the look of it!
