Back in early March, I wrote about putting an offer in on a house. If you follow me on Twitter, you'll know by now that our offer was accepted! Its still early days but I am really excited and can't wait until we know it is officially ours.
We know that the seller is slow to respond to queries and that a previous attempt to sell it fell through. Luckily neither the seller nor ourselves have a chain so its a case of sitting it out and waiting for everything to come together. We know that the mortgage company carried out a valuation a couple of days before Easter but that is as much as we know, so I hope that they were happy with everything!
The previous owners had added two extensions over the years so the inside is a slightly odd layout but its light and bright with plenty of windows and space. It has been stood empty for a couple of years but is generally in good condition, its just in need of some modernising and lots of redecorating!
Before having children I wasn't fussed about having a garden but since the girls came along my thoughts have obviously changed. The garden area is a decent size with a large patio and a small grassed area.

It feels so exciting to know that we will finally have a family home of our own, I really cannot wait to get stuck in to making it ours. I have lots of ideas that I have been collating over on Pinterest and it will be great to finally see them come together - I already have the girl's playroom planned out! The conservatory is at the back of the house and runs the width of it with two doors opening up outside. I can already imagine sitting in there early in the morning with the doors open, a cup of tea at my side looking out at my pots of flowers and enjoying the peace before the girls awake..... sigh.
We're lucky that D is very good at nearly all things DIY so we shall be doing everything ourselves. So, I should warn you that there is likely to be lots of home related posts coming up!
OH it's LOVELY! Truly gorgeous. So much space and so much potential. Congratulations on finding your home!
