As I mentioned in my last post, one of the things I'm having to get used to with our own house is cooking. Its not so much that I'm a bad cook (or so I'd like to think!) but more that I need to know what it is I'm cooking. If I have to decide there and then, I get a bit flustered and stress over it, not knowing what to cook.
So I told D that if I was doing the cooking I needed to know what it was I was doing and we would need to sit down once a week and plan for the week ahead. Not only that, but I thought it would be helpful knowing what we need to buy each week and hopefully help keep our food bill down.
So this week's dinners look like this:
Chilli coconut chicken with rice and naan bread
Fish cakes
Sausage, bean and veg casserole
Cottage Pie
We may be eating at my inlaws one day this week but if not, we also have a ingredients in for a couple of other meals:
Tomato, garlic and basil pasta
Belly pork with potatoes and veg
