#Slim.Fast Challenge : How Did I do?

Two weeks ago, I started the #SlimFast Challenge

I did a quick update on my first week here where I wrote that I had been pleasantly surprised with the first week. I found the second week a little bit harder with the arrival of a monthly visitor, meaning I wanted to eat and eat and eat....you get the idea. I know that this is more habit than anything else and I did manage not to spend my whole week eating but I certainly wasn't as strict as I had been in week 1.

That being said, I still managed a loss! Over the two weeks I lost a respectable 5lb - all things considered, I'm very happy with that. I also measured my waist, hips and bust at the start and have lost 2" from my waist and 1/2" from my bust which I was very surprised at. I think the loss from my waist is likely to be from cutting down on bread and fizzy drinks more than anything but I'm still happy with the loss (obviously!).

Overall, I'm very pleased with the result and how I got on. I stuck to the shakes mostly as opposed to the bars as some days it was just easier. The mocha and cafe latte were my favourite flavours from the ready-made shakes.  My Nutribullet proved very useful for mixing the chocolate and vanilla powders. I added a ton of ice each time and found them to be super creamy and frothy - very pleasant.  I did prefer mixing my own shake but the ready-made shakes are still nice and handy to have as a fall back.

Following this challenge has been somewhat of an eye opener for me. I have toyed with low calorie and meal replacement diets in the past but have always been put off, concerned at just how hungry I was. Following this, even with some 'off' days and still having lost, shows me that it may be possible for me to do long term, even if I were to follow the plan loosely. The financial implications of this are something I'm weighing up.

So if you're thinking about following the Slim.Fast diet, I highly recommend it!

As ever, a big thank you to Slim.Fast for letting me take part in the challenge and for providing me with everything I needed.
