Review: Wicked Uncle Toy Shop

I was recently offered the chance to review Wicked Uncle (wicked as in cool and not mean), who describe themselves as a present service for birthday, Xmas and other occasions. They aim to make buying a present for a child as easy as possible and do this by dividing everything by age and gender, because those are the things that everyone knows about a child.  What you might not know, is what they like or what's popular, for example if you have a 3 year old girl and are trying to buy for a 9 year old boy.

The website is really easy to use, with the ability to search by gender and age as well as different categories, e.g. wicked fun, outdoorsy and creativity. Visually the website is easy on the eye and is kept fresh with the banner being updated, e.g. for Halloween.

Once an item is added to the cart, a little message pops up. This really appeals to me, I think we all like a virtual high 5 now and then.

There is also the option of adding gift wrap or a handwritten card to the order, with it being sent straight to the recipient which is a great idea. As is the pre-filled 'thank you' postcard for the child to send back to you.

The website also gives you the option of automatic reminders so you never miss another birthday, with the ability to add more in or alter them.

As you can see, I ordered the Farm Sound Blocks and a pink gardening kit, as well as some chocolates. E is loving getting out in the garden with Daddy and has been trying to wear his gloves so this kit was ideal for her. They were both thrilled with them, E particularly so!

Placing the order was a super easy process. Delivery took slightly longer than I anticipated due to an error with the website not recognising the voucher code I was supplied with but the team were excellent in how they dealt with it. I was contacted by telephone and the parcel was sent out on an express delivery. Would it put me off ordering from them again? Absolutely not as the customer service I experienced was outstanding.

Thank you to Wicked Uncle who were kind enough to provide me with a voucher to place an order with their website. All words and opinions are my own.
