Vitamin Sea

Despite the cold weather, at the weekend I decided we had to get out of the house with the girls and go out for the day. So we bundled up and headed up to Hunstanton.

As soon as we got there, we headed for lunch at the pub. The girls were pleased that they had a small play area for them and by the time lunch turned up they were both starving and wolfed it all down!

We headed into town and had a mooch around the charity shops and then headed down to the beach. The sea was on its way out and the girls were just pleased that they could get on to the beach to collect shells.

Of course, no trip to Hunstanton is complete without a visit to the arcade! I can't believe just how much the girls enjoyed it.  'Mummy we need more pennies' were frequent words I heard whilst we were in there. We ended up with our pockets full of tickets which the girls exchanged for hair bobbles and sweets, rather randomly!

A good dose of Vitamin Sea was just what we all needed. And each time I go, I think I must visit more. I often think I'll visit on my own, one day when the girls are at school so I can have a long walk but its yet to happen, there's always something else that comes along. I really must rectify that. The beach really is my happy place.

  1. I couldn't agree with you more! We went to Hunstanston a couple of weeks ago and it was lovely. Flipping cold and so windy but we had a good long walk and did some rock pooling and it was just what we all needed. Two days later and husb took the kid to Yarmouth whilst I was working for some more seaside fun #TwinklyTuesday

  4. I love a simple family day out. One where you can be spontaneous. Even better when it blows away the cobwebs. #twinklytuesday

  8. We're very lucky as we actually live by the beach - quite literally - in East Sussex. There's just a road between us & the sea but it's easy to forget it sometimes & this has reminded me! #twinklytuesday
