Twinkly Tuesday | Featuring Kate On Thin Ice

Happy Tuesday! I do hope you all escaped the worst of the snow? We had quite a lot here, along with blizzards and snowdrifts in the area. The school was closed for two days and the kids had a blast getting outside on the sledge and building a snowman.  I must admit though, 2 days of being at home were enough and I was quite glad when the last of it had melted away yesterday.

Thanks to all of you that linked up last week.  Kate over at Kate on Thin Ice is this week's Tuesday Twinkler with a post sharing Wendy's story 'My Son Has Down Syndrome'.
Wendy's story is upbeat and heartwarming and her little boy sounds an absolute joy. It staggers me that people still think of a life with downs to be worth less than any other. I remember when pregnant with E being offered the test for downs and I was adamant that it would only be a case of 'forewarned is forearmed' rather than with a view to terminate. This post confirms that would have been the right decision for me, should I have had to have made it.

  2. More snow in the forecast!
But, I've got to be positive about this. It's March. The snow can't last forever . . .
