Gratitude Journal #22

gratitude, gratitude journal

Making it to a party
Saturday morning, I had a text from M's Mum asking if E was still going to her party. It had started 15 minutes earlier and I had forgotten all about it! Luckily E was up and dressed, although I hadn't brushed her hair (it was still up from the previous day!). Even luckier is that we are only a 5 minute walk away from where the party was! So we rocked up, 20 minutes late and luckily it was a drop off party. I had no make up on and my scruffiest tee and I didn't have the present and card ready. E dropped off, I raced home to make myself presentable, before heading back out for coffee with some of the parents.  I felt terrible, I really dislike being late for anything but luckily I know M's Mum well enough for her to know I'm not usually quite that scatty.  I blame the lack of sleep from the previous night!

A 2 day week
Last week I had an extra day off and goodness, it was lovely!  Don't get me wrong, I enjoy my job but its really lovely being able to just potter around at home without anyone else around.

Business Awards
Ah, the business awards. Finally the night has been and gone and so has the stress of it. Until next time...

Confidence Boost
Some photos were shared online from the awards and I received some compliments about how I looked. I'd like to think I wasn't vain but its always nice for someone to comment when you've made an effort.

Peace of Mind
Almost a month ago I found some changes to my breast and as it hadn't changed, last week I popped to see the Doctor.  She reassured me that it wasn't a lump or anything to be concerned about, more of a skin complaint that should resolve itself but if it doesn't I have to return for antibiotics.  It feels like there's always something going on but as we know, these things have to be checked out as if there were anything there, the quicker its found, the quicker it can be treated.

  1. I don't know if it's vanity or needing a pick me up. Anyway, it sounds like the awards night was fun. And yes, always go to the dr. Better to waste money being told it's nothing than be the person who left it too late...Glad you're ok.

  2. Good thing you went to the Dr, glad it was for nothing in the end, but I bet the Dr was too. The awards sound like they were fun! #TwinklyTuesday

  6. You definitely have to check things out, they actually found something when I got a breast reduction but it makes me never miss a screening. It kind of sounds like fun running from party to party, that is if you get cake and shouldn't there be goody bags for the parents and aunties carting the kids around.
