Gratitude Journal #28

When its half term, I quite like having a day in the office. It almost feels like a little rest after running around after the kids for a few days!  The only thing I struggle with is trying to fit everything in to one day as my hours are cut down due to a lack of child care.  But never mind, its only for a short time.

Brandon Country Park
D took the day off on Friday so we thought we'd try visiting somewhere new and headed to Brandon Country Park.  Its nice that we can get out and explore as a family, with Buddy.  As its half term, we were expecting it to be heaving with other families but it wasn't as busy as expected. We followed the 3.5 mile trail which was stated as taking an hour and 45 minutes and in the time we walked it, we only saw three other lots of walkers and that included some at the start of the trail and then at the end. All in all, it was quite a nice day out.

I don't want to jinx it but the girls have been pretty good so far.  Its no secret that I'm not a fan of the school holidays but these one has been rather nice.  Don't get me wrong, they've had their moments, but on the whole they've been good and it has been much easier as they've been keeping themselves entertained a little as well.

Pictures up at home
We've had a collection of pictures piled up in one of our rooms for months, waiting for D to put them up on the wall.  This weekend it finally got done, it took us bloomin' ages as we wanted them going up our stairs and it was a little awkward to measure exactly where they were going but it was worth it as they look great and its nice to add our touch to the house until we get round to decorating.
