Gratitude Journal #29

Easter Egg Hunt

My in-laws go a bit silly at Easter. Well, any time really. They truly spoil all of their grandchildren. Every year they set up an Easter egg hunt for them and this year was no exception.  They set up a lovely trail for them in the garden with chocolate and treats and it ended with a brand new see saw in their garden for them to enjoy when they are there.

Mum Visiting
Mum and her husband have been for a short stay.  The girls love to see them and having her here takes a little bit of pressure off me with entertaining them which is a real bonus!  We had a day out at a local National Trust property where the girls did another egg hunt and then we spent some time walking and playing garden games there. We also managed a visit to the garden centre and I picked up some new plants for the garden. And that's how I know I'm getting old, spending some of my bank holiday in the garden centre!

Out in the Garden
Its been a warm weekend here in Norfolk so we've been out in the garden enjoying the sunshine. I've set the plants I picked up at the garden centre and D has cut the grass and pulled up three yukka type plants that I've been complaining about since we moved in 4 years ago!  I should add that I've been trying to dig them up myself without much success and just loosened the ground up for D!  Can you believe he broke two forks doing it?!

Craft On
Its been a reasonable week for getting my craft on.  As well as selling a few bits in the family shop, I'm planning on trying to re-open my etsy shop so I've updated my little website and re-opened my Instagram account.  I'd forgotten how hard it is to build up followers!  Search Bluebell and Rosie if you'd like to take a look.  Updating the website took me a little time but I'm pleased with what I've done so far.  I've also managed to paint another plate rack and mirror, as well as making a couple of felt ball garlands.

Back to School
Whoop! Whoop! The kids have been pretty good this half term, although T has been a little challenging at times. Tomorrow they go back to school and I'm looking forward, as always, to getting back to my usual routine.

  2. Oh this all looks so like our weekend, Easter Egg Hunts, lots of being out in the garden (or on the farm here) and some fun crafting. Back to school today leaves the house quiet but the farm still busy with those still on Easter holidays #DreamTeam
