Gratitude Journal #30

Family Visit
My grandparents were visiting Peterborough in their motorhome this weekend, with my Mum so we popped along to see them.  We haven't seen them for a long time so it was nice for the girls to spend some time with them.  It was a difficult visit for me for various reasons but it went as well as it could.

Buddy Healing
To celebrate (I use the term celebrate loosely!) Buddy's first birthday, I took him for the snip!  He's now, finally feeling better and is back to his cheeky self, bouncing around the house.

Dog Food Win
Talking of Buddy, I was sat looking at Instagram last night and saw an advert for a giveaway once a dog food brand hit 10,000 followers. Within half an hour of following, I received an email telling me that I had won £50 worth of food for him. My day was made!

Earlier in the year I decided to start journalling as a way of getting things out, both through just sitting down with a blank piece of paper and through using prompts. I'm finding it really helpful to do and its surprising how the words just flow when I don't think about it too much, sometimes it really is just getting started.  I would like to share some of it on here but I'm not sure that I'm ready to make myself quite that vulnerable.  Making myself open like that for others to read makes me feel anxious, that perhaps people will think I'm a drama queen, that they've been through similar and everything's been just fine. And then, of course, there's things that I just don't want my family to read. Regardless, of all that, its been therapeutic to write.

Finally! When I pulled up on the driveway this morning, I thought I'd check our plants over. One of our wisteria isn't doing quite so well as the other (bizarrely it did very well last year?) but the plant that is doing well is showing its first flash of colour with a small flower starting to bud.
