Gratitude Journal #31

Soft Play
Last week, the girls had an extra two days off because the school is undergoing some building work and they closed to allow some of the classrooms to be swapped around.  D took Thursday off work and we took the girls up to soft play.  As expected, with ours being the only school in the area closed, it was incredibly quiet and the girls were able to have the run of the place.

Rhubarb Crumble!
My MiL sent home a delicious rhubarb crumble for me this week - gluten free, of course and made with homegrown rhubarb.

Hair Cut
I had another 2.5" taken off my hair on Thursday. Its in a long bob and looks and feels so much healthier.  Now I could just do with covering some of the grey.

Operation Confirmed
Finally.  The pain has been horrific recently and it feels like I've been waiting forever for my appointment to come through but its finally come through and my laparoscopy will take place at the end of the month. Cue me (a) starting to cram in some more hours, in case I need to have any time off work and (b) stressing about having it done and the results.

Outside of the house painted
Its been on our list of jobs to do for quite some time but this weekend, D got the outside of the house painted. Its part brick and part rendered which was originally cream but it was looking tatty and dated so its been given a lick of paint and looks 100 times better.

  1. I hope at least the certainty of the operations helps you focus - often the unknown & waiting is worse. Glad you had fun on the days off school!
