Gratitude Journal #34

Coffee with R and T
This week I met up with my friend R and her baby, T.  Despite seeing each other regularly at school and various parties, it has been an age since we actually met for coffee and had a proper catch up. Well over a year. So it was lovely to finally be able to do so!

E enjoying her school trip
This weekend E went on a school trip to a working museum to fit in with their learning about Victorian life.  She returned home absolutely shattered but excited to share some of what she had seen.

School Discos
End of term means school discos for the kids.  The 'Friends of...' works incredibly hard to put on a great event for the children and send them home with a small bag of sweets. They both had a blast and enjoyed themselves.

Two days off work with D
It was D's birthday this week so we both took a couple of days off together.  We didn't do anything particularly exciting - lunch out, a bit of shopping, looking at paving slabs - but it was nice to spend some time together.

Cinema Trip
On Saturday we took the girls to the cinema to see The Secret Life of Pets 2.  Both of them, particularly T, were completely obsessed with the first film which I estimate we have seen at least 97652 times. Being a prequel, I didn't hold much hope for it but I was wrong and I loved it just as much as the first.  Luckily, so did the girls! Its a really lovely film so do go and watch it if you get the chance.

  1. Glad you all enjoyed the movie. Sounds like a fun and busy week! #TwinklyTuesday

  2. Sounds a lovely week. I really want to see the lore of Pets 2 looks really funny X #twinklytuesday

  3. I can't wait to watch Life of Pets 2. I've heard good things about the second one from other sources too. The first one was a hoot to watch with the kids.

I'm glad you got time with family and friends this week.
