This week's Tuesday Twinkler comes from Zoe at The Tale of Mummyhood in a post about overcoming the fear of exposure in the blogging world. And this is something I can totally relate to. When I started my blog, I wanted to keep it private and away from family and friends. Something of mine that no one in real life knew about it. A few found out about it and it left me feeling anxious and exposed. Not because I was writing anything controversial, more that it felt like my personal space was being invaded and I didn't like the idea of them knowing everything. And now, I still feel a little like that and it does make me think twice before I post anything. Pop on over to see what Zoe has to say.

Tuesday Twinkler? This one's for you!
Isn't it funny how we feel conflicted when "our people" read our blogs? I love having the accountability of real life people, and, obviously, I write and publish so my words will be read, but even so, there's that little edge to it, and I use that to make sure my written words are absolutely congruent with the person others see here on the ground.
ReplyDeleteI think most of us wrestle with that question, especially if we're talking about or posting pics of the young ones in our family.
