Gratitude Journal #55

MRI
Last week I had my MRI scan and I came away feeling very proud of myself.  I had the two diazepam that the consultant prescribed for me and I have to say, I don't think I'd have managed it without them.  The whole thing lasted about 40 minutes and it was OK. I had a panic alarm and headphones with the radio on which made it all much more bearable.

To start with the diazepam left me feeling quite giddy and high within a couple of hours I felt absolutely wiped out and as soon as I got home, slept.  I'm very relieved it is now over and done with and I'm feeling very hopeful that it will show something and we can move forward with treatment.

Friends and the kindness of strangers
Following on from the above, I had some really lovely messages from friends and a few followers over on Instagram which really made my day.  It's nice to know that others take time out of their day to wish you well.

Soft Play party/baby cuddles
T had a birthday party at soft play this weekend whilst E and D went off for breakfast.  It was a nice party and my friend was there with her newborn so it was made even nicer with lots of baby cuddles!

Removing someone on Facebook
This weekend I removed someone on Facebook.  We were friends for a time and then we didn't see or speak to each other for a couple of years. I've seen her a number of times recently as her daughters have started at the same school and she's ignored me each time.  I don't need that kind of pettiness in my life so so long.

T's parents evening
We had T's parent's evening last week and it went well! Her teacher taught E for a term and couldn't get over how different they are.  She's lively and likes to chatter but she's well above where she needs to be and is getting on brilliantly.  Apparently, she also loves to talk about Buddy and we did have a chuckle as her topic book had page after page where she had managed to include him in the topics and pictures.

  1. I don't think I could ever remove someone on fb. I have had to accept some friend requests because I didn't want to be a jerk. I sort of hope the unfollow me...hehehe (Anti Social Media)
