Gratitude Journal #57

Escaping to the hairdressers
Just for half an hour but it was a much needed half hour, the girls have been pretty full on this half term.

Towel Rail Painted
I painted a towel rail weeks ago and a friend said she would like it.  It's taken me bloomin' ages but I've finally got it finished and waxed ready to hand over to her.  I hope she likes it but if not, I'll pop it into the shop.

Daith's healing
Finally! I say finally, it's only been two weeks but it has felt like forever. The swelling has gone down and I can move it around far more easily.

Clearing out toys
We gave the girls playroom a tidy up last week. I asked them to choose a few toys to take to the charity shop and, to my surprise, they were happy to oblige.  I think telling them that Christmas would be here before they knew it helped!

Lunch with MiL
Whilst my FiL went to work, we took lunch over for my MiL so that she didn't have to try and hobble around.  The girls were pleased to see her as they haven't seen her as much as they usually would in the last week. I'm surprised at how mobile she is and she seems to be recovering well, which is a relief.
House of Lurgy
This week, I have been very grateful that we have been off all week.  D has had a stomach bug, T has had a bug of some description, E has had a horrible cough and I've got a bug of some sort too. It's hit us all at once.

  1. I am getting rid of tonnes of stuff at the moment. We are just up to our neck in it, and no one uses it....I tend to just put it on the fence, and a little goes each day. #TwinklyTuesday

  2. Ah it is lurgy time of year, I've been suffering this week too. Hope we are all soon better. As for the hairdressers, I cut all the families hair in my kitchen and even do my own. A trip to a hairdressers would be such a treat. #Twinklytuesday

  3. I had a dreadful haircut last January and have not been to the hairdresser since! My hair has now grown back to the length I want and I am looking forward to going for that trim. It's nice to be pampered - even for just half an hour. Glad the ear is healing! #TwinklyTuesday

  6. How brilliant that your children were so obliging to donate their toys. My boys would have been in tears at the thought of being separated from any of their toys. #TwinklyTuesday
