Gratitude Journal #61

First Module
I'm grateful that my first aromatherapy module has been completed and marked with a 100% pass mark.  Its a real boost to my confidence and I'm enjoying getting stuck into something new.

New Ovens
The ovens are here and in the kitchen!  We're now waiting for the hob and oven hood to be delivered.

Christmas Lights Switch On
Last weekend it was the Christmas light switch on in our town. The main road closes, the shops open late and there are lots of stalls with food and games for the children. After having a look around we went to the pub to meet my inlaws for dinner at the pub.

In-laws helping with childcare
Almost half of T's class has been off with a nasty bug and last week was T's turn.  I thought she just had a bad cold but come Wednesday, she really wasn't very well.  She came into work with me for a couple of hours and then my in-laws picked her up after they had been to a couple of appointments. She lasted until late afternoon when I had to go home because she was so unsettled and wanted me.

Girls being good!

D came down with the bug late Wednesday night and it was my turn to come down with the bug on Friday. Hands down, it's the worst I've felt in a very long time - no wonder T felt so poorly - it's felt like flu.  After seeing every hour on the clock on Friday and Saturday night, Saturday and Sunday were spent doing very little and dozing on and off on the sofa.  Luckily, the girls have been pretty good for us, playing in the garden and cuddling up to us on the sofa.

Roast Dinner

My in-laws cooked us a roast dinner on Sunday.  I know I've been poorly because I've lost my appetite but I managed some of it and I was very grateful not to have to worry about cooking anything.
