Gratitude Journal #62

Kitchen Worktop
The kitchen worktop was delivered last week!  Three pieces, each at 4 metres long, ready for D to cut them to size. Goodness was I glad the drivers carried them into the house for us, I'm certain I wouldn't have managed!

Christmas Decorations up
We finally got the decorations up this weekend. They normally go up the last weekend of November but with being unwell, they took a backseat. I must admit that I have liked them going up that little bit later this year so I may try and do the same from now on. It has to be said that the kids were crazing me to put them up though!

Christmas Cards I've finally sat down and done our Christmas cards. It's one of those jobs I really don't look forward to doing.  I had planned to pop a message in some of them or a photo of the girls for the family but I've not been particularly organised and just wanted to get them out of the way so I gave it a miss.

Antibiotics
After feeling very unwell for the last week and a particularly bad couple of days, I took myself up to the Doctors.  The cough has now gone to a chest infection and I ended up having to go for an urgent chest x-ray.  It makes me laugh that it is put through as urgent but that the results still take three weeks to be sent back to the Doctors.  I've been sent away with antibiotics and I'm hoping I'll start to feel better soon.

E's Dance Show
At the weekend, it was E's Christmas dance show. They start working on their show dances from September onwards and this year the theme was hip hop.  It was held in a new location and this is the third year she's taken part and I think it was the best show yet.  Despite not feeling at her best with this horrible bug we've all had, she gave it her all and did a brilliant job.  I was so proud of her!
