Lockdown Journal : 30 April 2020

We've had an excellent start to the day. E has woken up in a bad mood and is on one. She's shouting and screaming at everyone. Mostly T, it has to be said. We're hearing lots of ".. oh for goodness sake...' in an exasperated tone.

I feel like I am very much at the end of my tether.  I've told D that until this is all over and they are back to school I will be working Saturdays in the office and possibly Sundays.  I'm in my office alone, I can wipe everything down before I start working.  I know things could be so much worse but I'm finding this hard.

Until now, we have been really lucky with the weather. We've now had 2 days of rain. I've sent the girls into the garden with their coats on before it rains again.

Neither of the girls wanted to do much school work yesterday.  I'm not forcing it, as long as they are doing something, it's better than nothing.  I'm not too worried about them falling behind either, they are both bright and eager to learn when they are at school and I am sure that when they are back they'll be happy to get on.
